Dump Truck
Our dump trucks deliver aggregates, mulches and soils, and will dump the product in one designated area. Dump trucks, especially when loaded, may leave ruts in the ground or become stuck when off road. A driveway is the preferred dump location in most cases. Customers who choose to have trucks leave paved surfaces assume all responsibility for towing, ground ruts and any underground fixtures such as irrigation and septic tanks. We can deliver Pine Straw bales in our dump trucks. The straw will be dumped, not stacked.

Flatbed
Our "piggyback" flatbed truck delivers pallets and boulders. The "piggyback" truck carries a forklift on its bed that can unload palletized stone from the truck. As with all delivery trucks, the "Piggyback" has its limitations. The forklift is a heavy piece of machinery and may leave ruts in the ground, especially if it is soft or wet. Additionally, the forklift may not fit through gates, fences, or other narrow areas. Customers should be flexible when considering where they would like their material placed. Seaside Mulch also has a self-tipping hopper that can carry approximately 1 yard or 1 ton of bulk material. This can be included in a flatbed delivery for a small additional fee.

Customer Responsibilities
You will need to be present during the delivery. Be prepared to show the driver the preferred drop site. Keep in mind that certain factors may prevent us from placing materials in the desired location. Our drivers will determine the safest place to dump the product.

Payment
Prior to unloading any materials, the driver will request payment (if COD), a signature of the legal property owner for the delivery disclaimer and/or credit card receipt, and the customer’s visual inspection of material.

Directions
A specific destination address is required. Provide detailed directions to your home or jobsite. Include main intersections, street names and a physical street. Give a detailed description of the drop site: describe any sidewalks or landscaping that might prohibit the truck from driving directly to the site.

Driveways/Walkways
The weight of a typical delivery truck can cause damage to concrete or stone pavement. Trucks will not drive on new pavement or asphalt. These applications take up to one year to cure, and may be damaged by the weight of the vehicle.

Overhead Concerns
When scheduling a delivery, be sure to let your salesperson know at the time of scheduling about any power lines, tree limbs, or other overhead objects that could obstruct the movement of the dump truck. The truck may not operate within 10 feet horizontally or 30 feet vertically of power lines due to electrocution hazards. Operation may also be limited on steep grades.

Underground Concerns
The location of septic tanks and lines, sprinkler heads, underground drains and utility lines are all delivery concerns. The truck weight could cause damage to any of these items. It is the customer’s responsibility to advise the salesperson or driver of their presence.

Children/Pets
For the safety of your children and pets, please keep them out of the vicinity during the delivery. Drivers are unable to see objects in their mirrors that are directly behind the truck.

Weather
Take weather conditions into consideration. If the ground is wet, it may be difficult for the truck to deliver without damaging grass or landscaping. Seaside Mulch can reschedule deliveries because of weather concerns; however, availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Installation
When receiving a dump truck delivery, be aware that drivers cannot spread aggregates or mulch using the truck. The price of your delivery includes one dump. The material will require additional manual raking after delivery to create an even surface. Be flexible. There are many factors that may prevent a product from being placed in a certain area. Drivers' decisions will be made on the basis of potential safety hazards and property damage. Remember that while we will do our best to satisfy your requests, our first commitment is to the safety of everyone involved.
